Swiss artist, Reto Müller, and I were commissioned by fashion designer, Nino Bollag, to design and build the set for his Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show in Paris, France. By reducing the length of a traditional catwalk to a simple revolving circular platform, the viewer’s perspective of the fashion models was greatly extended. Our approach was to minimalize the models’ movements while giving them full visibility. We evenly placed hundreds of potted terracotta plants around the catwalk to create the illusion that the surrounding space was unlimited. We constructed the wood buffet table and DJ station, while keeping within the simplistic confines of the landscaping.
